Working with European partners

iFacilitate is co-ordinating a funding proposal to the European Lifelong Learning programme, involving 5 partners from the UK, Germany, Croatia, France and the Netherlands in meeting and learning together.

The proposal is for a Grundtvig Learning Partnership which enables groups and organizations involved in adult learning to get together, learn from each other and develop their practice.  The UK partner , The Community Brain will act as lead partner and submit the completed application to the UK agency.  Other partners include Paris Montagne (France), Consol Croatia (Croatia), Stadt  Oldenburg (Germany) and Cielito (Netherlands).  Should the proposal be funded, partners will visit each other in their respective countries, engage in discussion and cultural activites and meet with civil society groups.  Given the range of disciplines - science, humanities, theatre, arts, dance - and the cultural mix, the process promises to be an exciting, varied and creative one!

The Community Brain has been awarded a preparatory grant to visit the prospective partner in Germany to discuss the project.  The visit will take place in early February 2012 after which a mad scamble to submit the full proposal by 21st February will ensue.  Then it will be fingers crossed awaiting the outcome due to be announced in July 2012.
