Conflict Management
Conflict is a normal process that may result from a clash of differences between individuals and groups, or a struggle for resources and/or power. Often the response to its emergence is one of antagonism or of avoidance. Either can lead to difficulties in working relationships, polarisation of groups and a reduced ability to achieve goals. If you sense tension in the room, find that some colleagues are avoiding each other or hear things such as ‘those two are so difficult, always creating trouble’, there speaks the voice of conflict.
At iFacilitate, we believe in the positive potential of conflict to bring about creative change and to transform situations. We specialise in helping groups to work with their conflicts, to rebuild productive relationships and to find innovative ways to move forward.
Rebuilding in Vukovar 2011
iFacilitate collaborated with Consol in running workshops with schoolchildren from across divided communities in Vukovar, Croatia following the hugely divisive Croatian War of 1991-1995.
